Sony reveals Cyber-Shot DSC-TX100V 3D Capable with 16MP
With the new launch of Sony Mobile Phones for 2011, also reveals 11 new members of their Cyber-shot family of compact cameras. From, this collection the first most impressive is Cyber-Shot DSC-TX100V which is 3D capable and 16 MegaPixel. Whereas, other cyber-shots consist of full HD Recording point and shoots, and other six budget-minded snappers. Cyber-shot DSC-TX100V
It consists of 16.2 MegaPixel camera with Exmor R back-illuminated CMOS sensor. Now this is a remarkable distinction made by Sony. You can zoom up to 4X optically with Carl Zeiss lens, equivalent to 25 – 100 mm. This member of cyber-shot family can capture 3D still shots and sweep sceneries. It is also capable of recording 1080p footage at 60 frames per second. The foremost thing which adds to the worth of this camera is that there is a 3.5 inch OLED touchscreen display with 1.2 million pixels. Point-and-shoot operation, with scene-selecting iAuto mode is enabled. It also has a Built-in GPS with compass for easy geo-tagging.
Guess what ? DSC-TX100V can take up to 10 full resolution photos in a row at 10 fps and can create 3D still images with one lens using double exposures. The 4x zoom lens of the Sony TX100V wraps the 26-104mm range in 35mm equivalent, and even has the not so bad maximum apertures of f/3.5 at the wide end and f/4.6 at the long end. You can view images in simulated 3D on the camera’s display by tilting it back and forth thanks to the Sweep Multi Angle capability. What if you are in a typical situation where it is necessary to take a snapshot but there are also other factors which keeps itching your image quality ? Then no need to worry because there are numerous multi-shot layering features, for blur reduction, backlight correction (via HDR), and low light photography. It is waterproof, shockproof, dustproof and freeze-proof compliant and it uses AVCHD codec and is proficient of recording 3MP still images while recording videos (except in 60p mode).
There is also an HDMI output and supports both SD/SDHC/SDXC and Memory Stick Pro duo media. It uses NP-BN1 Li-ion battery; however battery life has not yet been disclosed. This Ultra-compact body comes in silver, black, and red. And is expected to be shipped in March for $380.
