How to auto-archive emails in Gmail – [GUIDE]
You may receive loads of emails in your Gmail account, however when it comes to sort out each and every email and separate the important ones, you may often get annoyed. But Gmail is a quite customizable email service which has several features and options to kill the factors responsible for uncomfortable ness of its user. One of the main features to have your inbox clean for emails is the Auto-Archive in Gmail which is quite handy.
First you should decide which emails in fact need your attention and then follow the simple steps below for auto-archiving other non-important emails, which you can deal with afterwards as for example you can auto-archive all shopping emails and email forwards, jokes so that you can read them in your mean time. Rather than giving it priority when there are other important or you can say official emails to read.
Step#1: Once you are logged into your Gmail account, click on the link “Create a filter” situated on the top of the page next to the search bar.

Step#2: Options will be displayed, enter the proper search criteria for filtering emails. For instance if you want email from certain email address to be auto-archived enter it in the “From” box, or if you want emails with definite subject to be auto-archived enter it in the “Subject” box and the rest. You do not need to fill in every criteria you can create the filter using just a single criteria.

Step#3: After you’ve filled in the criteria click on the “Next Step” button and tick the checkbox next to “Skip the Inbox (Archive it)” for the emails similar to the criteria you entered to be automatically archived. Moreover you can also apply a momentary label to the emails, so that you can take care of those emails and classify them after you’ve read them.

Step#4: As a final step to create your new filter, click on the “Create Filter” button.
