Chrome OS R12 hits beta – AKA: The Shipping Version

Have you heard about Chrome OS R12? This should be the first version of “Chrome books” and the best part is that, it has entered its beta phase of development that means another step taken and you’ll be using it right away. The beta release has brought number of new and improved things starting from security issues and enhancement from Chrome Browser V12. Also, this has fixed all the bugs including an Angry Birds related improvement that many users were worried about.
Here’s what improvements that made their way into the Chrome OS V12 beta :
The OS is now sporting an elegant look with a file browser and a new flash player as well. With various optimization being integrated in browser like, Gtalk, Power etc. Improved 3G/GSM support along with verizon activation, Wifi connectivity and also an auto-update engine.
The security issues have been fixed along with the other bugs which were popping out in its earlier version, you can check them out here and have a look at the difference yourself.
With Chrome 12 update, Chrome OS 12 has also been given a hardware-accelerated 3D CSS and you’ll be protected from all the malicious infections while browsing over Internet, opening apps from the Omnibox etc.
There is still a bit of work required to be done over this beta version and once it is over, the Chrome 12 will be ready to use. We do know that Google is not one of those companies that would push its product to the launching period while they’re resting in the beta stage but lately they’ve been working really hard to give this Chrome 12 a complete exposure in the markets.
