Rumor: Xbox 720, Microsoft’s next-gen console to Reveal at CES 2012
More rumors and wild conjectures about the upcoming generation of Xbox 360, Xbox 720 persist today, with the latest delicacy calling out a CES 2012 has been revealed now.
The question arise over here that when is Microsoft actually going to unveil the next generation of Xbox console. And its termed as the Xbox Loop, right?
The current update from Xboxygen, the French gaming website, is that Major Nelson is expected to be involved in a special reveal at the upcoming CES 2012 occurrence. They also quoted this on their Twitter feed. However the complete revealing does not seem very likely. As the projected gaming console might be best revealed on to the Gaming event like E3. While something may be gone astray in translation, what might be the case is that Microsoft will be hosting some “behind closed doors” looks at some early hardware.
Nonetheless, VG247 hearsay that the French website articulates the Xbox 720 is under development by two divisions: “Loop” which handles the software, and “Infinity,” who does the hardware planning for the console.
To wit, the (translated) rumor, straight from the source themselves encoded:
“We have already talked about a lot of the new Xbox and the name of Loop Xbox has already come twice. Today is another source who told Xboxygen some new details about the next Xbox. We will obviously not disclose his name, but just know that it is near the middle of Microsoft.
Our source tells us that the project first began in 2005 and is divided into two parts: Part Infinity for all that hardware and software for the party Loop.
It also tells us that an announcement will be made at CES 2012. Not necessarily with a huge announcement of the first games already, but we should have some information on the new console, as some of its capabilities. CPU level, it would be a hexa-core with 2GB of DDR3, and our source also told us of a prototype dual-GPU AMD. We could not know the RAM.”
