Pentax K-01 Mirror-less Camera available by March 2012
Pentax has showed off its latest equipment entitled K-01 that is a mirror-less camera along with interchangeable lenses with a chic body designed by Marc Newson, a London-based industrial designer. The chief features of K-01 include 16 megapixel APS-C sized CMOS sensor that is pretty similar to the one in Sony’s NEX-5N. It is also compatible with the existing series of Pentax K-mount lenses. Moreover it has the capability of 1080p video capturing and an ISO range from 100 to 25600. Furthermore if we talk about its pricing perspective, K-01 is price set at $749.95(body only) that is cheaper comparative to Sony’s NEX-7.
With this Pentax is also releasing a new lens to facilitate this system, the Pentax- DA 40mm F/2.8 XS. The company claims that they are providing the thinnest interchangeable lens in the world, while we haven’t got a chance to compare the lens, it does look its drastically thin and add virtually no volume to the camera.
K-01 commencing in three modish colors black, white and yellow (the rare one in cameras). You can grab this smart piece of equipment by March for only $749.95 without the lens and along with the aforementioned lens it is available for $899.95. Also you can have the lens standalone for $249.99.
