Chrome now easily opens email links in Gmail, thanks to HTML5
The next time when you open up Gmail in Chrome do observe the prompt shown in the image that uses HTML5 to finally close the fissure between the way Google’s browser handles mailto that is the link and its famous email service. With this change the only question that rises on our minds is what takes them so long to bring this change? With the use of extensions or simply copying and pasting email addresses as Gmail blogger and software developer Michael Davidson has been doing were available workarounds but now they won’t needed it anymore, so as no DRM required.
