With the release of Windows 8 Consumer Preview we actually got to know how people were enthusiastic about its release. Just after its release the build has marked about one million downloads in a day, which is pretty high count for a single day. It shows the popularity of Windows 8 and enthusiasm of the consumers for the product.
As the count we got, we are sure with it that you must also have installed and explore many of the areas of Windows 8 Consumer Preview including new Start screen, lock screen, metro apps, control panel and many others. As this is the newest product for the users so they must not be aware of all the features that Windows 8 encloses. There are also some hidden features in it like there is a secret key for booting into safe mode, secret gesture which completely closes the metro apps and also there is a built-in Mini God Mode.
I am very much sure that you may have missed the new Mini God Mode existing in Windows 8 CP. With this new name you would be thinking that what actually the god mode is? God Mode is nothing but a Central place to access all system settings and tools. In other words it’s just an advanced Control Panel.
You will find this Mini God Mode present right on the desktop in Windows 8 but this is not visible by default. This mode let the users quickly access Programs and Features, Network Connections, Power Options, Event Viewer, System (system properties), Device Manager, Disk Management, Computer Management, Command Prompt, Command Prompt (with admin rights), Task Manager, Control Panel, Windows Explorer, Search, Run, and Desktop.
But the question is if it is so useful then how to make it visible? How to access it or open this mini god mode? It’s pretty simple. When you are in desktop mode, move the mouse cursor to the lower left bottom of the screen to see the new Metro Start button. Now, instead of a left-click, do a right-click on the button to view the mini god mode!
