Flickr shaking hands with Aviary, waving good bye to Picnik
With the closure of Picnik Shop by Google on 19th April, it was so obvious that Flickr had to move it toes and seek out another substitute to it. Yahoo-owned service is announcing Aviary which is a Jeff Bezos-backed start as the new photo editing tool on its site. They are promising that it would be simpler and speedier than its soon-to-be deceased predecessor. Aviary commences with some expectd features including cropping, rotating, sharpening, red-eye reduction and cosmetic whitening, just to mention a few. The notable thing is, Aviary is written in HTML5, making ways possible to and useful on a handful of slates and handsets. Flickr is ready to the rollout later on, although its making changes which would be observed in a few days.
