Software of the Day: MapKeyboard, EyeLeo

Sometimes it’s so annoying having Capslock be there on your keyboard and you want it get omitted right from your device. For ones who are much irritated with the presence of Capslock on their keyboard, I am putting up efficient software, MapKeyboard, a tool to replace one key’s functionality with another. The second software that I have added in this post is EyeLeo, which prevent undue eye strain by taking short breaks every hour. Let’s have a look on to the deep functionality of the two software.

It is so true that most of people do not like Capslock. Even most of the outfits have omitted the annoying Capslock key. But some of them haven’t done so yet, and you know what most of the people doesn’t even use it, instead they use alternative option for it, as what I personally do. You can fix this situation with our Software for the day, MapKeyboard which remaps your keyboard so CapsLock doesn’t mean Caps Lock.

This is very simple, just select the key that you wish to be replaced> select its new task> you are simply done. Personally what I use, I recommend it to you too to map Caps Lock to something like Shift, or perhaps a mute key.

EyeLeo

The person who uses computer for long period of time are most often at higher risk of Eyestrain. Personally I too encounter this problem and I am noticing that my vision has been diminishing due to the same reason and have come to the conclusion extreme numbers of hours spent staring at a screen are at least a catalyst.

EyeLeo lets you take short breaks regularly (default of 10 minutes) and long breaks every once in a while (default of 60 minutes). During these breaks, EyeLeo will ask you to take a break to look at an object far away and various other eye-relaxing activities that make your eyes feel better. It’s nice to have if even for the thought that I may be prolonging my vision a bit.
