All the computer users who are right now testing the newest version of Windows, Windows 8 on a computer having Intel HD graphics would be glad to know that Intel, the world’s largest manufacturer of microprocessors, has just released HD Graphics drivers for Microsoft’s latest version of Windows to assist users test core features and capabilities of Windows 8
These Drivers are available to support for 2nd generation Intel Core processors with Intel HD Graphics 3000/2000 and Intel 3rd generation Intel Core processors with HD Graphics 4000/2500. As per the release from Intel, we got to know that these drivers support flicker free rotation, Microsoft DirectX 11, and native stereoscopic 3D.
There are separate downloads available for x86 and x64 versions of Windows 8, so make sure that you download the right version of the driver. I personally recommend you to create a system restore point before installing drivers just in case anything goes wrong during the driver installation.
If you are not aware of it that what Intel processor or graphics you are using, please use Intel Processor Identification Utility or you can use the Windows display properties. Right-click on desktop, click Screen Resolution, and click Advanced settings. Here, you should see the graphics controller identifier in the Adapter Type section.
