Internet speed is always a concern to any user specially when he is using extreme downloading and software’s related to media and Videos which usually consumes more internet connection speed. Earlier it has been discussed the ways to speed up your Windows to support internet specially when you are using a broadband connection, Today we will guide you how to disable the Windows 8 system reserved bandwidth to speed up your internet speed in Windows 8.

Windows 8 by default reserve approximate 20% of your bandwidth for its own use if you are using a broadband connection, all is due to the Windows 8 frequent updates and validation processes, if we will disable this in Windows 8 we can use that rest of 20% internet speed which had been settled for updates.

Let’s Start How to enhance the speed of your broadband connection in Windows 8

At first click on start menu using Metro UI in Windows 8 by pressing Windows key. Now type “gpedit.msc” and Click to open. The window Local Group Policy Editor will open:

Here go to the Computer Configuration given at the right pane of the Window than click on Administrative Template then Network, select QOS Packet Scheduler, here click on Limit Reservable Bandwidth.

In the Window Limit Reservable Bandwidth you will see enabled radio button at the right side and give the Bandwidth limit 0% and than apply, this action will change the default system bandwidth to 0% and it will make 100% bandwidth available for you to use on Windows 8.

For me i’ve found that my computers that were running windows home edition couldn’t find this while my Pro edition computers could. Not sure if that’s the same problem you have, but for me that was the issue. Good luck
